Cloudy/foggy and 30 degrees here at the moment.  None of that white stuff.

I seem to have come down with another case of the cruds.  Hooray.   And to top that off, the fancy coffee machine messed up my coffee.  I don't know the how or the why, but I am upset at it.

Church dinner today. Up at 5:30 to put a turkey in the brand new electric roaster pan. Sorry, Delmonico, I don't have any cast iron big enough for an 18 lb bird. Roasting at 450 first 30 min, then turn down to 325, then I'll probably go lay down a while again. Getting up at 5:30(and staying up) is too much like a w**k day.

I'll leave the pot on the back of the stove for all you later risers.

Afternoon all.

Foggy and 25 right now.  Supposed to hit 50 today. 

I'm sick enough that I stayed home from church today.  Going an hour through a mountain pass with plugged sinuses just isn't my idea of a good time.  Also, the dog went into heat last night, so I'm keeping an eye on her now.  We're going to try and get her spayed in the next two months or so.  At $250 base cost, it's a bit more of an expense than it's worth right now.

Back from another successful church Christmas dinner. 4 turkeys, 4 hams, some brisket, and many various pot luck dishes. Had some volunteers that put away the tables and chairs, so I didn't have to! Wife made 2 desserts, I brought a pan of sweet tater, and she made up a couple hundred (not exact, but a bunch) of her locally famous lumpia (Philippine egg rolls). By the time I went through the line, all that stuff was gone! Oh, well, I can get that at home.

Evnin'.  Just dropping in to see what condition your condition is in.  Catching up, I chuckled at the car-truck stories, clutch starting and all.  One of the first things I taught my boys was how to clutch start a stick.  I had a 1957 Chevy that the starter went out in, and I was too broke to replace it and still be able to drive and have a social life, so I chose to drive.  I took to parking on a slope, one direction or the other when ever I could; but it didn't really matter much, because in those days I still had more muscle than brains, and on relatively flat ground, I could push it fast enough to get it started by my self.  I drove it that way for months.  Had on girl I dated would get out and help; another, first date, she told me not to call her again until I got my car fixed, it was embarrassing for her to be seen with me having to push my car for fifty feet to get it started.  Never did call her again. 

Winter has finally come to Las Vegas Valley - sort of.  Chillly nights, nice days, windy a lot.  I expect it will get colder before it gets warm again, but it's still not jacket weather for me.

Time to go see about rustling something up for supper.

Overslept this morn.

Box came from Grafs, today. 600 - .25 Auto cases and 600 -.32 Auto cases PPU brand. These were half price which was less than once-fired brass. 250 .30-40 Krags Hornady cases. .375 round ball mould.

Here, just got home from work.

Amusing night, I am convinced Yuppies were created to amuse me.  Had  Smatt car, couldn't fire how to work the pump.  You have to put in a credit card or push pay inside or come in and prepay. Just can't pick fuel grade.

Should have bought some Smart Water.
