1872 Open Top trigger guard
« on: October 11, 2017, 11:41:07 AM »
Good evening (morning ?) gentlemen

I just bought a 1872 open top from Uberti. Came yesterday at home. It's a realy beautiful weapon but the trigger guard of this one has a shape that I have not seen before on other ones.

Can anyone tell me if he has ever seen this shape of trigger guard ? maybe it's a building default...? Open Tops are not common in France and I have not found response here. The top of the barrel bears the markings * Stoeger Accokeek Md – A. UBERTI – Italy *, the year code is CP (2016). Thanks in advance for helping. (and... sorry for my poor english  ;))

Thank you Coffinmaker. I had thought about a factory defect because the gun was sold to me as a new one. I did not see any trace of shock but I will contact Uberti France to point out the problem and ask for an exchange (the weapon is under warranty for 2 years). Have a nice day (here it is 9 PM )  :)

I'd say so to. I've never seen any OT, Conversion, or percussion revolver lookin like that.

I would say Coffinmaker is spot on .
There has been some sort of damage to the trigger guard .
