A picture of some spurs I made patterned after the one worn by Monty Walsh in that movie.
And my Chappy 76 in 45-60

I admiired the photos yesterday and saw that there was a YouTube link, but my family was asleep so I didn't watch it yet. I'm curious about your spurs too.  Sorry that no one commented when you first posted them.

Yep figure if nobody has the time to reply I don`t have time to post, sounds shitty but what`s the point.
Either this place is that clickish or I don`t fit in here, but it is rude and boring if that`s how it is to me.
Griff I made the spurs, I patterned them from the ones Monty Walsh wore in his movie.
Here`s the picture of them, the video wasn`t worth watching anyways I missed every shot.  ::)

Pitchy, I watched your video, looked like you had fun to me. Tell you though, I had to turn my Marlin's rear sight around some years ago to get it farther away from my old eyes. It was too close to my shootin eye which made it blurry. I blew the first stage of last months match at my club with 4 rifle misses, that Marlin usually don't miss. I cleaned it real good but need to put it on paper to see what's going on. Put your loads on some cardboard or at least put some behind your steel so you can see where your misses are. I've got a Chappy NWMP carbine in .45-60, nice rifle once I got the bugs out. Keep having fun.

The perfect caliber for the 1876.  More thump than a 44-40, but not as hard on the shoulder as a 45-70.

Pitchy,
I watched your video and it looked like you had a darn good time.  As far as missing with the pistol I couldn't hit anything either if I was videoing myself.  So don't give up on us.

Thanks, I just filed the rear notch deeper and took some off the top so it should shoot better.
Widened it also so maybe I can center that blurry front sight.  :)

Went out and shot a few rounds at a box and it`s shooting higher than heck, the load is too light but near max for that bullet.
My only option is to build up the front sight to bring her down, every shot was at the top of the box, shot some at 50 yards and they were high.
I`m sure a 200 grain bullet would work better but I`ll stick with this bullet and make it work.  ;)
