Hi, i am looking at getting a Cimarron Model P Old Model 7 1/2 in .44 Special. The reason behind the .44 Special is because I have some. Looking for opionions on if it a good choice..

Get it so I can live vicariously through you! The Cimarron Model P Old Models are great, and .44 Special/Colt/Russian are all great calibers to shoot.

I recently purchased new in the box old model Uberti Cattleman 44 specials .
Pre hammer safety .
And really really like them a lot .

You better get them quick if buying new.
Uberti is going to the Lawyered up hammer safety on all there guns .

well, i better get a old model before they do that. seems pointless to add the extra safety but oh well
