Cimarron Persidio carbine pictures...
« on: July 12, 2017, 08:45:06 PM »
I called today.  50 on order.  11 on back order.  None in the country yet.
Not a lot of guns.  Sure wish it was a 23" barrel in 45-60.  50-95 should be fun anyway with that short barrel and BP.  Gonna be a flame thrower!

Ordered one any way :)

I dunno. Maybe its the white backdrop, but it looks rather... sterile. Not for me. Hope it shoots great for you tho.

I would do that, case color hardening, would definitely give it a better look. Never cared for the look of button mags tho. JMO.

Case Colored would be a "bingo"! Was thinking of ordering one and then turning the barrel down to make it 1/2 rd - 1/2 oct!  the 50 cal is something I don't have and could be "fun"!

It's in the eye of the beholder. Clean lines, well executed, no goo-gaws or frills.

My kind of rifle.

I like it too for the same reasons. It's elegant in its simplicity.

A very pretty rifle but it must be either a Monday or Friday gun, they forgot to install the rest of the magazine. But how does it shoot?
Is this the look you're going for? The Teddy?

I like it a lot ! But I like em all even the big heavy ones. For packing around that one will be just as handy as the old ranger 's was . And get the job done . Look forward to seeing it. ,,,,,,DT

I handled one of these rifles in Texas Jack's today.  Nice gun and the action was pretty good out of the box.  I bet it is a handful when torching off a 50-95! ::)

Yahoody,
Why would you rather have a 23" barrel?

I have a 20" factory gun now with a full mag tube in 45/75.  3" more barrel would make it a LOT better balanced plus more sight radius.  I'd also set he rear sight back given the option.  A 50 Cal barrel with a button mag is not going to balance well on a '76 IMO.

This Presidio carbine makes me think of a one of a kind '76 that was on the shelf at Cimarron for a while.  An antique finish 50-95 rifle with a 16" barrel.  Now that would be a nice brush gun!

Does anyone know what the rate of twist is in the "new"  50-95 that Uberti has been making?  Cartridges of the World talk about a crazy 1 in 80 or 85!!!!  I just got a box of 350 grainers in anticipation of the arrival of the new Presidio Carbine and just looking for reloader data etc. for the "new" rifles. Thanks!
