I purchased a 1sr gen SAA manufactured in 1907, 4-3/4" chambered in 38WCF. I don't have much knowledge about SAAs, but have been reading lots here. I will have it in hand hon July1st due to California laws. However I did notice when I was buying it from an estate that the half cock seems weak. I was thinking I would like to have someone go through the revolver and deal with any issues before I load for it and shoot it. I do work on my own 1911s, but never messed with a single action. The piece is a shooter not being pristine. I did not detect cylinder play, but there is a good scar from drag. I watched the action as I cocked it but did not notice the bolt coming up early. Maybe someone did something else it it in its 110 year history. I was looking on the internet at this outfit in Paso Robles as it's about a 4-5 hour drive from me. Peacemaker Specialist. Anyone familiar with the company and the work?
