Even though I am not a member of NCOWS I enjoy seeing the pictures. A lot of work must have gone into setting up that "Town" to get ready for the Nationals. I like the emphasis on authenticity of the clothes and more restrictions on the firearms.

Thank you for sharing the great pictures, the range looks fantastic! They made me wish even more that Miss Theresa and I could have been there.

WOW, that is some terrific town that you guys have built. I love all the little details of your buildings. Doesn't matter what you're talking about  it's all in the details, the difference between ok and great. But where are the gun carts??? For sure you don't carry all your extra ammo, guns, lunch, drink etc by hand? Where's your back up rifle, pistol, sg? NCOWS shooters must be super human. I really enjoyed the photos. Thanks for posting.

In a word Saddlebags ....backup' ( if you have)  are in the Car if needed

I find it refreshing not to see gun carts that didn't exist , clutter the approaches to the shooting line , in hap hazard parking melee .
Several of our more popular classification do not allow carts ... For 4 gun classes you may see carts but there are few and well well back of the line.
One Rule 1-2 gun racks on every stage, in enforce.

As for lunch, normally they (NCOWS) break between 3-4 stage or 4-5 stage and there is cafe' that has burgers , dogs  soft drinks
& chips for about $4 on site.

Same questions Baltimore Ed asked.

Except , for a sinus infection & severe vertigo earache, precluding driving I'd have been there  Cry

Having shot SASS for years till 2010-11   and now NCOWs ...   Grin

I'd come home wired from SASS match  Undecided

Now, I enjoy the match and come home relaxed

Dang! Somethin else I'll have to buy if I want to shoot NCOWS. When will it end? Thank goodness I don't have to buy a real horse. Hey! How about a gun cart that looks like a horse? Might be able to?Huh( cue thinking music).

Many don't use saddle bags but rather carry carpet bags, Doctor bags and the like. I've used a white canvas tool bag purchased at Harbor Freight for less than $10.00.
You do need to keep plastic ammo boxes out of sight.  I have canvas bags in which I put 10 pistol and 10 rifle rounds prior to the match. I just carry one to the loading table and load the required rounds.  After the stage I put the empty cases in the bag.  There will be some stages that require less than the pre-counted amount. The extras either go into my belt or I just leave them in the bag and sort them from the spent cases later.

The only gun cart on the range this year was a Victorian Perambulator manned by a Nanny.  Coolist gun cart I have ever seen.

At the National gun carts must stay behind the rope and off the wood chip area. Not on the firing range area. Tj
