Where in the USA can I find the more common cylinders for a Colt Navy .36 cal. and a Colt Army .44 cal.
Just the regular pattern with naval engagement scene made in the 19th century?
With or without nipples doesn't matter.
Thanks for your advice.

There is no "source" for original percussion era Colt parts.  The only way to get antique parts is to take them from an old gun.  Thus, the source is the Internet and a lot of hard research and calling around.  EBay is a good place to try.  You can also try www.coltparts.com

There are several vendors of antique parts like Poppets, Jack First, Wisner's, etc., but them having a particular original part for a Colt percussion revolver will be simply a matter of luck that they have it when you are looking for it.

Two sutlers that specialize in original parts for civil war era firearms are at lodgewood.com and ssfireams.com. Both Lodgewood Mfg and S&S firearms have been in business for many years. Another route to try is go to the website for the North-South Skirmish Assn. and address your search there. Their members live that era and constantly sell and trade parts and they may be able to point you in the right direction. Good Luck.
Both of the firms named probably have parts not on their web sites so a phone call may be helpful.

I know.  I was just giving you an example of what you can find.

Keep an eye on www.gunbroker.com.  I search 1851 Navy and 1860 Army on there quite regularly, and often there are antique cylinders.
