  Yep !,,go'an try some TB, in the o'l 40/60 chappie. Don't know if the term "fluffy"is correct it look's more like "poofy".  Anyway doing 14.5 gr. this time did 2 rds.of 13gr.,,yesterday,,recoil very light. I like the way it fills the case (to the bottom of the bullet),,,course i'm use'n my 1884 loading tongs,,210gr. Will holler back.

Hey Slamfire , look forward to hearing if your 40/60 is very accurate with the TB. May have ask you this before , cant remember. What is the ROT of the Chaparral 40/60  ?,,,DT

Dusty,,according to Brian Perce The 49th Lyman addition,,,all Chaparral's tested came with a 1 in 20 RT. Fix'n to go test some TB load's out back ,,,i'll holler back,,This TB is kind'a like load'n BP.

 I,,,am back,,,don't have a shoot'n table,,,used a alum. step ladder with a pad,,100yd's. 6in. bull,,#1,,almost center,#2 -2 o'clock rt. #3- 8 o'clock lft. (you can tell ,,it's not the gun) all in the blk.  210gr. Was evry impressed with the damage the rds. did to my plate,,,,,,i believ it'll do ,,hog or deer,,. Goin drop back to13.5 and see,,,(no chrograph). No soot on my brass.

 Just in case ,,,240gr. 40/60,,chappie 10.5 grs. TB,,100yds. ,,,,,,shot 12in,,low!!!  need more TB!!! Shooting open sights,,for now!!!
  Going to up the TB load to 11.5 try again.  All feed back welcome...
  210gr. 40/60,,14.5 TB,,,shot to center,,( all loads are 3 shot groups)
  210gr. 40/60,,26.5grs. H-4198 ,,,shooting at 6in. bull,,,,2 near center,,pulled 1 lft.7 o'clock just out of bull .

 Looks like my chap'e,,does good w/ H4198,,,have loaded from 24grs up 27.5grs ,,,shoots tru,,(I don't).
