J. Barnes Memorial shoot

The J. Barnes Shoot will be May 6 & 7. This will be a "Blanket shoot". Bring a prize worth $15 - $25 to throw in. We are going to try the new class structure. Since all will be shooting the same number of guns the classes will be Traditional and Open.
Bucks and does will probably be separate. There will be a chuck wagon on site, meals may be purchased by the meal. Dave said that he thought he could hold the price to $5 or less. Can't drive 300 horses to town for that. If you can, bring your own service, we'll have wash stations set up. The theme of the shoot is "Once Upon a Time in The West". Sunday will be the Double Action Championship. If you show up Fri you will probably be able to rustle up a side match if it suits you. As always come and camp. Shoot fee is only $30. jt

Damn rights!!! Texican brothers will be there for sure enough. Piss on your Kansas ticks, we are bringing our own North Texas inbreds. Won't be the first time Kansasians tried to piss on a Texas tick. A 2 pound shop hammer will slow them down some but, self inflected wounds just bring them more pleasure. Shoot fast, don't miss!

ARGH!!! My schedule is not looking good. More than likely will be able to make the June shoot for KVC, but not this one.

May I get an approximate round count, excluding the Dbl. Action side match, please?
I have not been able to cast yet this year, so am using up what I had on hand. it's looking pretty meager, so a round count will tell me if I should plan on bringing a cap 'n' ball revolver to save my cartridges for the rifle.
Thanks,

I talked to Trap Monday and there will be 8 stages on Saturday, but a couple will be pistol stages only. He said some where around a 100 rounds. Weather is forecast to be in 70s and clear. See ya there.

Good Morning.
What time does the Saturday match begin?
Do we need to call the match director to let him know we are coming or just show up?

Trap is the match director. I believe that the safety meeting is at 9:30 shooting starts at 10:00.
The Double-action championship is Sunday, same time.

Howell,
KVC matches are always kind of a loose affair. Most people just show up and throw money at them, then ya get to shoot.

Don't throw money at me I have never been able to catch. I will take your cash or check. $30 for the main match. Do appreciate cash being exact. Remember we will have a chuck wagon and meals will be about $5 a meal and I am sure Dave will appreciate small bills. Sun is out and as always Trap and Books have been very creative with the stages.

I am hoping that Wooly Dan will set up a registration table [I'll furnish the table.] so that as shooters register they can be issued their harmonica.
The Match theme is "Once Upon a Time in the West."

Oh, so we don't actually need to know how to playa harmonica, just make some discordant notes on one.

I have my own harmonica which I'll bring. Custom fitted and tricked out, of course . . .
