Gentlemen,  I just got to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra in concert.  Gotta love the music of the Thirties and Forties!

Great stuff!  Back in 01 or so my family took a cruise on the SS John Brown.  http://www.ssjohnwbrown.org/  Glenn Miller band, P51 flyovers.  Of course, I spent most of my time down in the engine room with that lovely Triple expansion engine (Sure did PO the ex!)

Cool!  I watched the band at the theater literally two blocks from my house.  Can't beat that!

Really can't decide between "Moonlight Serenade" and "In the Mood" as my  favourite.

Depends on the "mood" I guess. ;D

Anyways, huge fan of Glenn Miller here.

You made a cruise on a Liberty Ship and you are under 80? Kind of envious here.  ;D

It was ordered earlier and laid down earlier but, comissioned later (thanks Wikipedia  ;D).

I saw the Missouri in Lisbon late 1986, November, I think. Made no cruise though.  ::) Only saw it. And I'm sure glad I did.  ;D

I got to see one of the BB's at sea once when I was a a Midshipman training cruise.  Those things look incredibly cool at sea!
