Thinking About Selling One Of My USFAs
« on: March 09, 2017, 06:35:10 PM »
Hello to all USFA fans! I have an unusual model revolver. It's an older, "import" USPFA gun the company called an Omnipotent Target, which means it's a combination firearm, consisting of a Bisley Target cylinder frame, barrel, & sights, & an 1878 Double-Action grip frame & integral trigger guard. It still has the Uberti barrel but I sent it to the factory to have a .4525" chamber throat cylinder, the barrel's groove diameter being .451", fitted........the Uberti had .454" throats, & also a 1st gen firing pin, & the hammer was sent to Doug Turnbull for re-CCH'ing. The gun was purchased used off Guns America from Braverman Arms in 2004. The difficult thing will be to determine an asking price for this revolver. Also, I should say that I live in Illinois, but WI; IN; & IA are possibilities as far as travel is concerned. Any interested parties can email me. jd45

JD45,
Best of luck to you in selling your USPFA revolver!  Just remember, once you have sold it you will never be able to replace it.
Again, best of luck!

Captain, your point is well taken. Even tho I have another, a Premium grade SAA, I'm fighting with myself on this decision. This gun is very well put together, well finished, and shoots well, in spite of the grip frame. I'll have to think long & hard about letting it go. Thanx for your input. jd45

I'm with you, PM!  Would dearly love to have a 4", ejectorless Omni.  Not much chance now.  :'(

One thing is for sure, the Omni isn't a clone. Inspired by Colt's, yes, but nobody can call it "just a clone".

I'll see if my brother can help me to post a pic of this revolver on this sight. If not, all I can do is get him to email a pic to your e-address. Here's a bit of info........I was looking on the net for details on the China Camp revolver & I stumbled on this site selling USFA guns called the Long Island Shooting Center, (lisc.net/usfa). Judging by the prices, they must be used, cause I can't see them asking $470 for a new Rodeo. They've got several models available, including for you who are interested, Omni Targets. Maybe most of you here already know of this site, but I think it's worth a look, unless it's now totally defunct. jd45

Are you talking about this?
http://lisc.net/usfa.htm
That appears to be a price list from 2004. I'm sure they're not still in stock but it's interesting. Geez I wish they had all those.

LP, (forgive the abbreviation, it probably took more letters that your user name), there's no phone contact. No way to get ahold of them, they must be defunct, don't you think? jd45
