Morning all.

Another early day at work today.  Didn't get done what I wanted to yesterday, either.  I came in half an hour early to vacuum the conference room, only to find that it wasn't a meeting they were having, but rather a curriculum review.   That is where they put all of the new K-12 curriculum out on tables for teachers to look at and choose what they want for next year, and the thing lasts for up to a week. :-\

I drove through South Dakota and Minnesota a while back, Del.  It just rained the whole time everywhere.  ::)  The rain/sun thing is common here, but I still can't explain it.

We're in the 50's here with high thin clouds.

'Tis my day off under the new schedule, keys to the kingdom tomorrow. Got some things done here whilst the girls are out gallivanting ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Evening all.  I've got water heating and coffee percolating for any night crew.  ::)

I didn't make it out turkey hunting like I wanted to today.  My truck lost a weight on the front passenger tire, and with it out of balance like that I don't want to drive almost 200 miles round trip.  :-\  So instead I took the dog to a new place and tossed her in the water.

Tomorrow I might go fishing, but I'm not sure.

Banking the fire and keeping the pot on warm.  New week started yesterday, 21 hours in 2 days. ::)  Money is nice but I'm getting too old for this s###.   Good thing I didn't get stopped on the way homew, would have been blowing in a device, boots smell like Southern Comfort, dumb arse dropped a whole 750 ML bottle. ::)

Good thing is, even though I don't drink anymore, it wasn't any good stuff.

Fire is banked, pot on warm, had enough for now, gonna have ham and cheese samwhiches and hit the rack.  Pay week started at Midnite Thurs/Friday and was at 31.93 hours when I clocked out about 30 minutes ago.  probably do about 25 more this week.

Yes, boss knows payback is coming this summer. ;D

Morning all.

Not a whole lot in this part of the world.  Just rain and meth lab explosions.  :o ::)  Had at least two yesterday.   At least the Fire Dept. got to play with HazMat gear, right?

In other news, our microwave oven kicked the bucket Saturday.  I haven't been terribly bothered by it, since I only really used it for reheating coffee and cooking sweet potatoes, but everyone else... ::)  I'm laughing more than upset by it.

Just to save everyone else time, it turns out eBay doesn't sell smallpox blankets, so I guess there are limits to how far you can can take this cowboy thing. I was hoping to get myself a good squaw. Hmm, looks like there's a bead shop not too far away...maybe I could dabble in real estate...

Rained slow here since about 11 last night, wheat farmers rain, they need it.

Fire is banked, pot is on warm, just did 11 1/2 shift.  New over night guy starts training tomorrow night/morning.  Boss has been trying to talk me into applying for ast manager spot, nope, I don't want it and Rita don't want me to either.

Morning all.

Nothing much going on in my part of the world.  Just rain, rain and more rain. :-\

Today is forecast for rain, with winds up to 30mph, making just about everything I wanted to do impossible.  Go for a run?  Visibility from the storm makes that dangerous.  Go out fishing?  too windy to cast.  Work on my truck?  I don't have a garage.
So, I'm just going to work on reading a book instead.  ::)

Weather took a dip here today.  Had rain this morning, turned to sn*w about 8AM, now it’s turning sunny and the snow didn’t stick.  There hasn’t been any white stuff on the ground down here for a couple of weeks now, but 40 miles away at Incline Village, they are looking for volunteers to help dig out fire hydrants buried in the evil white stuff, around the town.
I may have had a hand in out change here in the valley by having the lawn aerated in prep for dispensing some processed Milwaukee River bottom goop to give it a boost in greening up.

Morning all.

Actually had something interesting yesterday!  I've been working on writing a particular book for just over six years (lthere's an excerpt in my signature.), and yesterday, I finally put the final sentence on the finished first draft.  I've never finished a book before, so I'm kind of excited. ::) ;D ;D  Now comes the editing...

Just have work today.  Then I might go turkey hunting in the early afternoon.  We'll see.
