Prices are dropping.  I picked up an 1860 Spencer rifle for $1600 last month.  Supply and demand.  Lot of old collections are being dumped on the market.  At an auction in Nov.  1859 carbines with nice bored were $900-1200.  1861 pattern muskets with nice bores were $800-1000.  A Sharps rifle in the Berdan range went for $2100.
