The trapdoor history: 32" barrel, shipped to Oregon National Guard in 1894 (It has an 1883 cartouche, I have no history before 1894)
Best friends father picked it up in a pawn shop, still in cosmoline, near Tacoma WA in the 1950's.
He bought it to go deer hunting with his BIL who also bought one. BIL's rifle was stolen a few years later.
My best friend's father passed in 2001, and best friend move to Aussie so he had a firearm sale as it's tough to get boom sticks into Oz as an American.

I've been shooting it for 3 years now. Beautiful piece of history, color casing still pristine, bore shiney....but it was lonely. That's my excuse for the Cav revolver! Wife bought the story!
