Right.  When I say recent, I mean made in the past 10 years.   Something "modern".

Entertaining yes.  A part James Bond (Daniel Craig) part Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) part Star Wars (Harrison Ford and Aliens) part Lonesome Dove (the western setting and guns and Indians).

Enjoyed it as well.  I am a big Clancy Brown fan going back to the days of Highlander as the Kurgan.   Wish it would have done better, as I would not have minded more.  For similar but more horror, also with Clancy Brown a western called the Burrowers.

It was a good movie with an interesting premise. Cowboys , Aliens.......what's not to like? Anything with Walton Goggins in it is good. Strangely I thought Harrison Ford was weak. He gives the impression that he's just too tired now to act. Casting a Brit as the main man was risky but overall it worked.

I saw it back when it came out. I was pleasantly surprised. Fun movie, it seemed like the actors had fun with it. It was a good summer flick.

It was so stupid that I could feel my IQ dropping, but it was also so fun that I watched it three or four times.

I get to graduate from the second grade next Spring.  :o

Great idea! Lets pit a bunch of black masked Jihadists screaming "Aloha Snackbar" against Geronimo and his Apache renegades.

I'm sure the Apaches could adjust from scalping to beheading and enjoy staking few over ants hills just for fun.

Another good movie scenario would be one where the Ghurka Brigade is deployed against ISIS with no wishy-washy politically correct rules of engagement.

Hey 40T, congrats on graduation.  I have to say 2nd grade was three of the hardest years of my life!

At least Aliens are better than dinosaurs, I can't remember the name of that stinker from the 60s.

I was thinking the Valley of Gwangi,  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065163/?ref_=rvi_tt

Oh, I remember One Million Years BC rather fondly.   I am pretty sure if it was on, Dad made sure the TV was turned to that Channel  :D
