1st day of Vacation, but I do have to stop into the work 20 anyway either today or tomorrow , as the FED/ups truck is bringing the goodwill violin case and a Red dot I ordered.

Morning all.

All's cloudy in the Cascades. I don't know if these clouds will burn off today or not, but I kind of hope they do. I did some work on the dog run and it needs to dry before there's any more rain.

We have an interesting situation in the county, as well. Apparently there was a breaking and entering, armed robbery, hostage, and kidnapping on the other side of the county. road blocks are up, and all the LEOs in this county and half from the counties around are down there searching the town.

I'm not leaving the yard, where I can carry a gun without a permit.

Morning all.

I think it's below freezing right now. I can't tell because it's too dark, but if the temperature in my bedroom is anything to go on, it's cold.

Drove up a mountain yesterday with a friend. There was some of the white stuff at the top and we wanted to go play around in it, so we did. Clear day, not really any clouds to speak of.

Evening all.

I finally got that new rifle today.

It's been almost a month since I dropped my gold on the counter to pay for it, so I'm quite tired of waiting.

First three shots out of it I put out at about 150-ish yards across a canyon. They made a beautiful triangle 1.5 inches across in a stump. Next three I put in a 2" group. Next three I missed the target by 6 feet.

Then I remembered that I hadn't tightened the scope bases down all the way. Sure enough, they had come loose. But, I didn't have a screwdriver with me that was the right size, so that pretty much ended the session.

But, the important thing is, I got the rifle.

Hard day, went to Jackie's funeral today, yeah, slide show, picture of my brother and her, both about 3, yeah, her and the dog, Daisy, remember her well, pictures with her folks, Halloween pictures, remember all the costumes, pictures of her and grandma, yeah she lived the next house over, Sr Picture, remember those, pictures of her daughter and our kids. Hard day.

Had a couple mornings with upper 30's this week. Fall seems firmly in control here. A/Cs went to storage last week, electric space heaters have taken their place already. Resisting the urge to build a fire so far-will probably clean the flue this weekend, though, just in case.

Wierd, ATM went down today, put a OUT OF ORDER note on it, was to busy to look in the book to see where to call. No need, it called the tech and told him the receipt was jammed and he came and unjammed it.
