Just Acquired Spencer Carbine

I am looking for serial number information on a Spencer Carbine I just acquired. It is a Model 1865 Carbine Serial # 5680. I think that would make it post Civil War.

Sorry, I don't have any information for 1865 Spencer Carbines.  As you indicated it is a post Civil War Spencer and records were not kept.

It was probably sold to a civilian and taken out West . . . just speculation on my part.
