Best leather for cartridge contact?

Wondering if one type of tanning is less likely to cause verdigris than another. Prefer to work with vegetable/oak tanned leather of course.

Your better off with veg-tan or oak tanned, chrome tanned is another thing, and will bring on verdigris, but it can happen to veg, and oah to, just not as fast, bullets weren't meant to stay in loops for long periods of time, try rotating your bullets every time you shoot , and take them out if you are going to store your holster for any reason. hope this helped..

Thankee, Ten. I much prefer veg tan anyway.  Need to make a slide-on 10-loop cartridge carrier for .454 Casull.
