Hi all I finished up a cartridge cam at an event. This is for my Chiappia 56-50.
First pic is the blank I cut along with the original. FYI - its easier to drill the holes for the pins first on the blank, and then outline the form. In this case after I drilled one hole and partially drilled the other, then I used two pins to mount the original on to the blank & I traced the basic shape. Note the false start.
Next one is the finished cam, not fitted or blued.
The last one is the mounted cam - I had to file it in place for the final fit.
This new cam is a lot more forgiving than the original. Its a really big improvement to feeding live and blank rounds both.
Had a couple of helpers, but I don't have their pics yet. When I do I'll post them.
