I've bought .36 caliber conicals from this site:

http://maplewoodbullets.com/

Owner's name was Ed. Pleasant fellow to deal with, and my order came in in a timely fashion. I've been satisfied with the conicals I bought.

Try a few conicals, but roundball does everything you need out of a percussion revolver reasonably well.

Been there, done that! ;)

What kind of distance/range are we looking at within this topic?

Most N-SSA c&b revolver competitors shoot 25 and 50 yard, in individual and team competition. Most seem to prefer round ball over conical due to better accuracy and/or performance.

CAS shooting......7 yards or so to steel plate, looking for a betting 'ding' than what a 60 grain round ball delivers.

Figured a 130grain conical fueled by 15grains of 3F would ding like a 38 special does.

Having trouble with Spotters, Huh ?

Load two ball per chamber, ;) ::) 8) :)

That will wake them up. 10 hits per Revolver target !

This would be fun, what say you, CoffinMaker ?

Agree with having conicals on-hand.

I've tested my .36 Navies on my local club's Texas-Star targets. 18 gr 3f & .380 RB results in a plate falling most, but not all the time. A non-perfect hit may leave a plate. Lee 125 grain conicals over the same charge fling them off with any ol' hit. I use RB for all but KDs and just keep a pouch with a dozen or so in my kit.(or, take a box of paper cartridges with conicals.

Sorry I don't have a source for ya. I do cast, but not prepared to make it a hobby business.
