Hello!
Does anyone here have opinions on the quality of the Thompson Center round ball molds? Thanks!

I suppose they are as good as any other aluminum blocks.

Were they anodized? They always looked like steel.

To my knowledge, they were all iron/steel.
And were, I believe, originally made by Lyman for TC.
This is not to say that some other mold makers did not make aluminum block molds that could be use in TC's.
My best,

I cannot say I remember the ball moulds, but I have a NIB Maxi ball mould that is anodized aluminum. Anyone need it?

My Favorite was always Rapine. (Miss that company) I've shot many balls from Lee, Hornady, and TC Molds without having a problem. They are not authentic for living history but are good for casting a lot of ammo quick.
I have been using the primitive bag moulds that Track of the Wolf sell. They are made overseas but the alignment is always good. If anyone has a good line on an American maker of Primitive bag molds that rival or compare to Rapine, I'd like to hear of them.
