I picked up this Lefever 12 g at Cabelas a few months ago. It had 30" barrels and was in fair condition for its age, about 90 years old. With the help of a friend polished the chambers. Sanded all the metal and striped the wood. Cut the barrels to 18 1/4" and the stock down. The overall length is now a little over 30". Cool blued the metal, which came out a lot better than I expected and refinished the wood with Casey oil finish. The gun now weighs 6.2 lbs. This is to light for me as it raps the fingers when firing, so I'e added 1.25 lb to the hollow in the butt stock. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but have high hopes.
