Used tea kettle and PL-II
« on: March 26, 2016, 05:51:17 PM »
Howdy Pards,

Years past I used a copper tea kettle to melt my PL-II lube in.  Now, I use a completely different controlled melter with a lot more volume.  Anyway, my bride decided she liked the looks of the copper tea kettle and wanted to clean out the PL-II wax.  She boiled it with water and WTF?  The stuff didn't simply wipe out.  It made a mess.  That's when I told her that some of the ingredients in PL-II melted ABOVE 212° F.  In fact, the ingredients in PL-II all have different melting temperatures.

So, now you know why PL-II coats your bore so well and wets it to the muzzle.  The fouling blows right out and the bore remains wetted and very easy to clean.

Just so that you may know. . . .
