I might be reading this wrong, or seeing it in my head wrong, or not seeing it right, or not understanding what you are saying, but .......
When at rest, the Main Spring Tip should be just beyond the roller. NOT in contact with the back radius of the hammer. MORE important,
is to ensure the tip of the Main Spring does not contact nor drag on the rear of the hammer. There should be obvious "daylight" between the tip of the Main Spring and the back of the hammer throughout the travel of the hammer.
