American Plainsman Society approved?

I'm assuming this is correct for APS purposes. This coupled with my '51 Colt Navy.

Perhaps you should know that Tryon also produced the Model 1841 for the Republic of Texas as early as 1843. This predates the Harpers Ferry production of this model rifle by perhaps a year.
In 1845 when Texas became a State within the US, the markings changed from Republic of Texas to just Tryon.

I have a Pedersoli Tryon in .45, and my son has one in .50.

They are awful rifles to own as they are totally bereft of alibis!

The back action lock is much faster than a sidelock, thereby much more accurate, especially off-hand.

I do wish you had said something sooner, Sir Charles, as I paid extra for some custom fitted alibis.

One in particular that I'm quite fond of is that I suffer from Random Focus. Me poor eyes are wont to go "google-eye" syndrome and independently roll around in their sockets when precision shooting.

Idon't have that problem when shooting(well, at least not much), but it is a real problem when looking at guns that are for sale.
