Those are some great photos. While serving in Bosnia in the 1990s I saw several knocked out M4 Shermans and T-34s. The Sherman was a good and bad weapon at the same time. It was a war winner as it could be produced in vast numbers, was mechanically reliable and could fight all but the best German tanks (Tiger and Panther) successfully. On the other hand, many Sherman crewmen though the M4 was a thin walled, under-gunned, piece of crap. I would rather have been in an M-36 Jackson tank destroyer, It was much faster and had a larger gun (90mm) but it had thin armor also.
