Rained most of the day yesterday. Got off early as we couldn't do anything in the rain. Felt like crap anyway with this cold/sinus stuff ::) :(

51, feels like 46. Still dark. ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Thanks for the coffee...58 degress, 7:30 and still not good daylight, yet.  I'll be glad when we quit saving time.

Not me. I'll be going to work in the dark regardless, and when we change to "daylight wasting time" I'll come home in the dark, too. I vote that we should keep "springing forward" enough that it never gets dark before 8PM.

All good points! Where I live, it never really gets dark with all the light pollution!

Well we got some rain yesterday.  Not even much a drizzle most of the morning, then started to come down heavy about midafternoon.  It did quit just in time to put brats on the grill, but the beer, brats and tater salad had to be consumed inside.

Getting’ close to a hard frost overnight, so the wife has started bringing in some of the patio plants.  Now I’ve got to find places around the house to put hangers to put them (It was easier when she just had annuals outside).  At least these are all in hanging pots and don’t require any digging.

Major, H&R used to make a Handy Gun set in 20 ga, 30-30 and 22 Hornet, all in a take down case, always thought that was the coolest, would make just a wonderful truck gun.

About 30 years ago, helped a friend get a good deal on one of those H&R in 22 LR that sorta kinda resembled a SA.  Unique gun, should have had documentation done on it and kept it for myself.  Gun belonged to Jesus, bought it from his wife, (not sure it was quite leagal ;D)  ex worked with Jesus's wife, see Jesus was in the hospital and she needed the money, and she really didn't want Jesus to have it when he got out and got rid of the long sleeved coat.  (No Jesus was not Mexican and didn't pronounce it Hey-zus  ::))

Wife is moving plants in as we speak(type). Had frost already, but she still had some on the porch, likely to get too cold for them to stay there soon.

We’ve had the frost on roofs and cars exposed to our clear night skies a couple of times, so the potted stuff is all huddling on the patio under the large pine tree in the backyard.  However next Monday overnight ambient temps are going to be below freezing, so this weekend will be time to decide what we want to save and what gets replaced next year.  Luckily most of what’s left outside are annuals, so they get sacrificed to the lack of places to put them.

White puffy cumulus clouds in a deep blue sky today, with a high of 54 and a warming trend through Saturday, and then we start cooling off.

Got a by on cooking tonight.  Planning on grilled pork steaks with a side of stuffing tomorrow.

Cooking for left overs, did a ham yesterday, cooked pintos in the ham bone from the last one, this one will go into something.  Pintos are re-fritoing in skillet now for burritos, got a whole hog worth of ribs in the smoker ( a gift from someone who don't like ribs but bought a hot)  will smoke them good a couple hours and tomorrow will go in the lectick roaster with some homemade sauce, don't have time to baby the 10 hours as is proper, and will still be good.

As far as I know that set ain't made, good inexpensive rifles, I know some who own just them for deer rifles.

See when the beefed up the frames they dropped the hornet and 30-30, both those calibers make sense in a truck gun.

I fell in my backyard last Friday in the rain. I have been on a cane since then. I felt well enough to go out for Supper last night. I had CFS, mashed garlic potatoes, green beans, and a salad. I had Peach cobbler for dessert.

Take her easy out there.  I slipped on the two step stairway from the garage to the house a little while ago.  Screwed up my left wrist and hand (nothing broken).  Took forever to get back to normal, just don’t recover as quick as I used to.

I guess once we break 60, we have to be careful not to break anything else.

Dinner has been prepped waiting on "She Who Still Works" to get home before I start the coals in the grill.
