Tracked down 40 Bertram .43 Spanish cases! I bought 20.

Why not all of them? Their web site said $78.95 per 20. Pricey, but of date. The current price was .... I hope you're sitting down ..... $99.95 !!!

My wife is indulgent with my addiction, but I know when not to push it. However, she is a dyed in the wool fabriholic as a dedicated seamstress and quilter - who also shoots and owns several guns.

Why didn't you buy Jamison brass?  They are only $ 45 for 20 cases and they are good brass.

I bought Jamison brass for a .577-450 Martini I had and was very unhappy with it. I have no experience with it in .43 Spanish. Trick is to find it north of the DMZ as dealers cannot ship it to individuals - might be used for a Jihad or some such thing.

Thinking back, my greatest disappointments in BPCR's have been with the .577-450 Martini and .577 Snider. I used Brazilian 24 ga(?) MagTech for the Snider. Both calibres kicked the snot out of me and were a PITA to load for. I know that others dote on them and all I can say is good for them! I couldn't get rid of mine soon enough.

Jamison folded and was resurrected. I hear quality has been improved.

See my post today on 'The Barracks' re: some Bertram brass that just arrived .....
