I would like to know where I can get my gun case colored. I understand what is involved but I'm not buying an oven or the materials to do it. To expensive!!! I posted a pic of what I'd like my gun to look like. Thanks! Yeah it's a 1911 not a 73'. Sorry. I just know how knowledge you guys are. :)

Respectfully,

Jeff

Is it expensive to do? What was the turnaround on it? Thanks

If you want it done right - it's expensive.

If not - it's still expensive, but doesn't look as good.

In the case of the M1911 - a weapon that was never color casehardened - it has a tendency to make the finish look as though it was in a fire, and that one is looking at 'fire scale' with new grips and a coat of oil on it.

Scouts Out!

Very quick turnaround and price seemed reasonable to me. I sent the parts and got them back about a week later along with the bill. Couldn't have been simpler.

I just got some additional parts CCH to match a Cimarron US finish since these guys do the work for Cimarron. The parts all matched perfectly.

I'll definitely use them in the future if I want something case hardened.
