A bit late for coffee, but I’ll put a pot on along with one of water.  I’ll also put a chest of ice out for those that want iced versions of their beverages.

Floating in the upper 80’s with lots of sun now.  The storms we were supposed to get over the weekend turned out to just be some dark overcast.

Been floating up and down in the 80’s with sunny mornings and cloudy to overcast afternoons.

This week is “Hot August Nights”, so we have a ton of vintage cars parked, lining the main streets in Reno and Sparks, along with massive areas of the casino parking lots.  These cars are detailed to the nth degree, and a lot of them are convertibles.  Tomorrow is threatening thunder boomers and possible hail!  Hopefully these will turn out to be nothing but threats like our last batches have been.   There isn’t enough space to put all these cars undercover!

Evening y'all.
Been busy here getting ready for the county fair next week.
FYI, I hate bird lice.  >:( The chicken coop and house are lousy with them. Pun intended. Therefore, when you feed them you are covered with them. Then, you have to take a shower and wash your clothes. My cowboy hat got covered with 'em and I had to hose it down to get rid of 'em.

The better-half, two of the girls and Sackett went to the state fair today. They just got home.

I've been down in the basement sorting through gear, dragging stuff in from the shed, who collected all this stuff. ;D

Plan on spending the winter on projects, gonna get this really set up so I can load in less than an hour.

Did this one, PC aside I need jugs for cool drinks in the heat and I also hate the yaller jugs that somehow keep doing photo bombs.

Doubled thick batting on the sides, double, double on the top and quilted.   Should save on ice on 100F days and will solve a lot of problems in pictures.  Mad out of some flannel sheets I was given.

Also more bags to store gear in, keep finding material, gonna do some more towels and bread bowl covers.  White is ok for towels, but for covers in the sun they mess up pictures, they just wash out too bad.

Looks good, Del.
I heard somewhere that clothing that looked white in b/w movies was really light blue.

Got 1+" of rain yesterday.
Rode horses with Micah this morn.
Have next week off of verk for the fair.
'Tis 70 and overcast. High of 80. Possible rain tomorrow.

Made it through Friday with only smattering of rain and no hail.  Everyone’s car came out without dents.

Sunny and 80 today.  Supposed to be that way or a little warmer the rest of the week.

Having a friend over for grilled salmon and grilled corn on the cob for supper.  The weather should be nice enough for patio dining.

That's a tad of a trek from your place to the fairgrounds.  A bit over 2 hrs isn't it?

The afternoon winds are starting to bring in smoke form some of the Northern California fires.  It’s starting to look like an overcast.

Managed to get the lawn mown by leaving the sprinklers off this morning.  Need to get one cycle of the sprinklers in this evening, as we can’t water again until Tuesday.

All I can say is if I ever get rich the UPS man is going to hate the first delivery from this place:

http://store.tremontnail.com/cgi-bin/tremontnail/scan/st=sql/fi=subcategories/sf=category/se=3/ml=60/rf=code%2Cname%2Cthumbnail/sp=subcat_new

You can make those things hold and do things you can't with drawn nails or screws.  Got a fair supply of them.  ;D

The Cawffee and Hot water are ready to drink. Enjoy!    Victoria and I are sitting on the Patio, before it gets hot. We are in the middle of our "Dog Days Of Summer". Every day the temp is over 100, and it does not cool down till about 10pm. I am enjoying my second cup of Cawffee and Victoria is lying at my feet . She loves for me to be with her on the Patio.

83 here, sun. Have the keys to the kingdom until next Monday. Had a plumbing guy in today to hook up the pipes for the electronic water meter system they use in the homes in the new section since they're on city water instead of our well system. Since he was in here on a Sunday, I'd hate to see the billing on this one.

Yesterday I had to clean up an unfortunate critter. Told the Bosses they're going to have to quit going on vacations as every time they do some poor critter loses it's life here ::) :D

Had brats and baked beans for lunch. Popcorn for supper.
Rode horses after lunch. Fixing a rein. Kids and better-half are working on fair projects.

Grilled salmon went over great last night!  The grilled corn is always a winner.  There weather was perfect, and it was past midnight before we realized it.  Even the cats got to stay out late with the addition of a few strategically placed flood lights.
