shipping conversion revolvers??
« on: July 20, 2015, 10:13:59 PM »
My understanding was that the conversion cylinders could be legally shipped with the revolver as long as they were not installed.  Is this still a good interpretation?  I have two '58 Rems and a pair of Kirst Converters to ship, along with other cap and ball parts.

I believe so, but I'd heavily advise checking your local laws.

According to BATFE, a conversion cylinder is simply a "part."  The gun itself, with a percussion cylinder installed is not considered a firearm.
there is nothing illegal about having the conversion cylinder in the same package.
