Lee factory rifle crimp die question
« on: July 14, 2015, 08:19:37 PM »
How do you get the crimping collet out of the die body?

I think it is held in by 3/4 coil spring wire ring but what is the best way to get it out?  This is in order to alter the crimp surface.  Then can you get it back in the body?

Thanks

Just pull it and it will come out it is a little trickier getting it back in you have to compress the ring as you slide it back in.

Old Top:

Everything worked out just fine.  Came right out and only took two attempts to re-insert.  Thank for the info.

B R Smith,

I am happy that everything worked out, the blessed dies do have to be cleaned and it is a lot easier to take them apart to do it,  I put a drop of oil on the bottom part just to keep it lubed to slide better.  Glad it worked.
