Made O-6
« on: June 30, 2015, 07:12:44 AM »
To all who shall see the presents greetings...

I have the honor to report that the modern USCG has promoted me to O-6, CAPTAIN USCG.

I will be doing a tour up in DC but plan on still shooting with my black powder buckarette.

Still looking forward to an opportunity to where my schedule and travels allow me to meet and compete with ya'll!

Congratulations, Captain! Perhaps you can find some official Coast Guard matters that need to be tended to on the Loupe river or Calmus lake sometime about next June?

Pace yourself, Pony! You'll be Commodore before too long . . . :P

Congratulations! Speaks well of you - you seem to be fast-tracked for these promotions.

Congratulations, Sir. This is definitely a most auspicious occasion. As has been mentioned, there are some things that need attending to on the North Loup next June. Possibly you could bring a ship of adequate size with you.

Good deal, and I agree with River City John, I am sure there are smugglers and pirates on the Middle Loup River and perhaps you can find General Pitspiters lost cell phone also.   ;) ;)

Thanks Gents!  That river expedition sounds interesting.

You might be surprised what rivers and lakes hold federal jurisdiction to long forgotten but still in writing laws.

Many places that have old river port facilities fall in this category.

2nd and 3rd rounds for any takers!

Not surprised at all, I live near Lake of the Ozarks, which the CG still considers a "Navigable waterway" even though you can only actually "navigate" on the lake, dams at the upper and lower ends cut off access to the Osage River. Before the dams were built, there were regular steamboat routes quite a ways upstream from here.
