Anyone know when American Arms was in business and importing Uberti firearms?
Saw a 1873 at auction and was wondering what vintage it might be.

Thanks Major, The seller can not find a date code on this rifle. The code on my 2000 dated '66 is on the lower tang but I can't find a date code on Sierra Sue's later built '66 any where either. What other places did they move (hide) the date codes?

Sometimes on the barrel under the mag tube and fore end.

also under the tang ..yeah you'd have to pull the stock

I had Allen Arms 66 stamped there

I don't think the seller would be willing to pull the stock or forearm/ magazine tube to find it.
So what would the likely hood be that is would be an old enough model that parts would be hard to find?

Theoretically the old 73s are basially the same as the new ones dimensionally.  They have made some tweaks, but no major changes like when they changed from the old short carrier 66 to the new long carrier model.
