« on: April 10, 2015, 01:47:13 AM »
anyone have a 520/375 mould they want to sell?   Buffalo Arms has it for $142. and that's a little high for me.

It's for a 56 50 Spencer.  or do you know where I can get one for less$$
thanks..Ken

Ken S,

You have an 1865 Burnside Contract Spencer? Am I correct?

Question, Why do you want a .520 dia. mold?

You maybe able to find molds for the Smith or Maynard Carbines on the N-SSA Forums.
These usually cast bullets (depending on the lead/tin content) at about .515 dia. I think you will find this diameter fits your carbine better and will require a lot less sizing of the bullets.
My best,

thanks Blaire.
I looked it up and the 350 grain Lyman 515 I have now probably is the best.  520 may be too tight and the 56 52 bullet is larger and won't fit anyway.
