Remember This? FREE Plans Available.
« on: November 03, 2005, 10:18:44 PM »

I am currently working on a newer, much better version.  This one was all wood & heavy metal parts.  The new version I'm working on will have an aluminum frame with a fiberglass body.  Should be half the weight of the original.

Wow.. that will be really neat.
Be sure and take pictures while you are doing it .. so we can see the levels before the finished product.

Much obliged there Rawhide Rio.  I have a gentleman currently working on the body design in fiberglass down in San Antone.  The framework is easy to build in the aluminum rather than the heavy wood.  Also, I am hope this version will be much more cost effective so that it can be passed on to those wanting to get one.

For those of you wanting this version & would like to build one, please email me for free plans & I'll get them out to ya asap!  The plans are in PDF Format & include materials list, instructions & photographs to help in the building process.

Now that's a gun cart I'd love to lug around.  Just one slight problem.  I doubt I could get it in the back seat of my VW Bug and I'll be damned if I tow it behind!  Good lookin' cart BW!

Yes Ma'am, that was the problem I think?  It was also just too dern expensive to build.  The coach weighed 64 pounds to boot & that is before guns, ammo & such are loaded into the cart.  The coach is 35 inches tall, by 32 inches wide & was 52 inches in length.  All of it being wood & metal really added to the weight.  The current owner (Cryptkeeper) absolutely loved the cart & has made a few modifications to suit his own needs.  I sold a few unfinished kits of this version & the owners seemed real happy with it.

The current version I guess is now running into problems as well because of weight & construction.  I think the fiberglass idea is not going to work.  We haven't given up on it yet, just taking a step back & regrouping! ;) :D
