Trail Boss in 500 s&w OK and safe?
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:15:50 PM »
Getting a 500 S&W auxiliary barrel for my H&R Handi Rifle.
For no particular reason except Remington is now closing down
the barrel accessory program, will be gone in a month or so.

Anyway for 700 grain bullets (not a practical size of bullet
but is just to unique for me to pass up):

Is it OK to try Trail Boss behind such a very long bullet?
There is data for the 700 gr bullet in 500 S&W online for H110, 296, etc.
so that size bullet is OK and will fit the chamber.
Bullets sold by www.mattsbullets.com/ and designed by 'Ranger Rick' especially for the 500 S&W

700 grain bullets???What are they, .50 BMG bullets? Wonder if something sooooo long will stabilize in it, especially at the kind of velocities  you might get with Trailboss.
