Brand New Uberti 1858 NMA - Any Problems?

Do these need different nipples and or gunsmithing to be made reliable?  Does anyone shoot them reliably as they come from the box?

It depends what level of performance you require.

For General use, not so much. Such as plinking.

For CAS/SASS, Yes.

I have a new 1858 Uberti.  Very well finished, excellent timing, with a butter-smooth action.  I installed slix-shot nipples.
The lee conical bullet loads beautifully.  I haven't had a chance to "tweek" the elevation and windage as yet, but with the high, dove-tailed front sight, looks like an easy job.  Enjoy.

This is a pretty old thread, but I may be interested in buying or trading for one of these.  Any more opinions on the newer ones with the forged frames?

Strong revolvers with rifling diameter not matching cilinders, so they are not much used by top  MLAIC competitors.
