I was just lurking on the "other" forum and was astounded. The question was asked if anyone was using the Brimstone cartridge. Even though it was noted the cartridge was developed in 2010, no one was real familiar with it.
Then the reaction was a discussion of it's legality for CAS shooting.
Then the discussion of the applicability of the term "Magnum" to a BP round.
Then the derision just continued without the consideration of just how ABSOLUTELY NEAT the Brimstone Dragoon is.
And one of the noted "experts" digressed on how Illegal the round would be/was for CAS. Even though CAS specifies bore size and velocity but in no way limits the case the bullet is carried in. I could conceivably neck down a 105 Howitzer case to .45 and as long as I kept the velocity under 1000 FPS, it'd be legal. Hard to carry around, but legal.
The .45 Brimstone does however, bring new meaning to the descriptive "warthog" moniker.
Gary comes up with some of the absolute neatest toys. That big walker is just some kind of really KOOL. My only objection to it is ......
it isn't MINE!!!!
