Radio's got news of closed interstates, slide offs, blocked roads. No Gunshow/grocery shopping this day. Not much over an inch here at the farm, but sometimes only a few miles away can be a whole different story.

Moose is cooking a big pot of real Chili for supper tonight. It is still cold outside, but the good news is No Precip. Hopefully it will warm up tomorrow. The fire in the fireplace feels good,

Still rain'n' ...checking for any suspicious like animal pairings or large Ark like build structures in the area  ::)

Had ribs for lunch it's hankering that needed attention  ;)

Helped a guy, in his CCW choice...well he was about there, I just nudged him some... He was leaning at small auto loaders from various countries & linage... 380. and 9mm
Tho,  he was also looking at small revolvers , fixated on hammerless ...he has 1911 but it was weighting him down.
Help him decide on the S&W Model 642 .... ( I explained I have J Frame Mod. 36 as my CCW older and heavier but still my pleasure to carry )

Had to use both the engine heater and battery charger to get the tractor going, finally at 5PM. 3-4 inches of snow by then. 2WD tractor with only a front end bale carrier is virtually helpless in the snow. >:( Managed to get a bale to the cows, then for the horses, couldn't get the tractor up the hill past the gate. Had to leave it right in the middle of the road, 6 feed inside the gate. Oh, well, whenever it thaws enough, I'll push the remains out of the way. Church already cancelled for tomorrow, guess we'll just hunker down and wait. Gonna soak some beans overnight, cook them tomorrow.

The Chili is still simmering, it should be ready about 2000 hours. I have some corn and flour tortillas to have with the chili instead of cornbread. The weather folks are saying that we are in for a warmup tomorrow. The snow should melt fast, once the temps come up.

Fifteen semi pileup on I-44 at Rolla, about 40 miles east of my exit. Some of the wife's Philippine friends are stuck in the traffic jam, been there most of the afternoon/evening, returning from St Louis. Hope they are smart enough to not run out of gas to keep warm. But at least, they're right in town, lots of businesses right along the highway.

Radio reports another traffic jam west of my exit, good thing we stayed here! Couldn't go anywhere if we wanted to!
