I have a Cimarron Pietta Frontier old model 4 3/4 in 44 WCF, which I like a great deal. It's a good companion to my Uberti '73 in the same caliber. I've been thinking that an old model 7 1/2 in 45 Colt might be in order.  I've always been partial to shorter barrels, but that is just so classic. (The auto correct function on my phone tried to make that "classy".  Maybe the phone knows what it's talking about.)

It would be a real treat for me if he would show up with my Cimarron 76 in 45-75 that has been on order.

Hope Santa fills all the Cowboys and Cowgirls wishes . Cliff I know you can't wait for the 76 . I have been wanting a old model P with a 4 3/4 barrel . I have a 7.5 and it's a beautiful piece BUT it's too much to carry hunting . Should of ordered a 4 3/4 in the beginning
oh well that's a good excuse to ask Santa for a short barreled to carry hunting .

Rowdy, I have the old model P's in 5 1/2 and 7 1/2. I will probably be ordering a 4 3/4 next but unfortunately it wont be this Christmas. Maybe Santa will get it next Christmas if I'm a good boy.

I actually like the 7 1/2 barrels best for CAS and when hunting. I like the longer barrel and sight plane for accuracy when hunting. I carry my revolver in a bandoleer holster when hunting so the size/length isn't a problem. I shot a doe with my 7 1/2 inch Ruger 44mag this year.

Shucks fellers.  I'd settle for a nice 1873 Winchester like the one I passed on when I was a kid back in 1967: a .440-40 carbine with saddle ring for $75.  However I kinda' sorta' doubt that's gonna' happen.  So, I'll just keep wishing, and hopin' and...   ::)

I wish Santa would bring me a 44wcf AND a 45 Colt . I want both to have a 4 3/4 barrel and black powder frame . I love the Cimmarron model p old model . They are excellent for carrying hunting our just everyday carrying .

I too would like a Uberti 1876 in 45-75. And a pair of Uberti Outlaw Remington 1875's in .45 Colt. And a Uberti 73 in 38-40. Might as well have a pair of pistols to go with it. And a... wait, is there a limit?
