Magtech Brass Question

While not specifically a BP question, I know many BP shooter do use Magtech brass for their BP shotshells as do I.  I have been finding a few very small cracks at the ends of my 12 gauge brass as I round the ends slightly prior to loading.  This makes them easier to finish a glue seal for the overshot card and to chamber.  The cracks are very small and a simple case trim ends the problem for that case at the present time.  I have be considering doing a bit of annealing of the case mouths to see if the small cracking problem can be eliminated.  Anyone tried this?  Paledun

No.  But I don't do anything to the case mouth.  Don't consider it necessary.

I keep a slight roll on the case mouths, no splits on case's loaded 8 times.

I've been use the brass shotshells for many years now and find there is no reason to mess with the mouth of the shell.  If you use 11gage wads and glue the over shot card in (I use a standard hot glue gun), you shouldn't have any problems.

I also do not do anything to the case mouth.  My Winchester and Rem-UMC hulls, which are about the same thickness as Magtechs, are probably over 50 years old and loaded unknown amount of times (about 50 by me) with no splits.  However, I will admit that a slight roll on the mouth might make them a tad easier to chamber into the shotgun.  And I would assume that annealing would help prevent splits in that case.
