Bad News for my leather work!
« on: September 16, 2014, 11:43:26 AM »
About 1 1/2 months ago,  I went to emergency wth severe burnng pain in the lowerback, and had a CAT scan that turned up a growth on my adreanal gland the size of a small grapefruit, after a week of biopsy and further CAT/PET scans I have been diagnosed with stage 4 incureable Lung Cancer.  All I can hope for is to put it into remmission.  Started Chemo three weeks ago and I am on the second round. Dr. is optomistic.

Can't hold a stamp or a swivel knife so leather is on hold for awhile.  I will be here perodically to check the great work done on here by some outstanding Pards,

AC  :) Keeping Positive!

Hang in their AC - I'm going through it all for stage 3 metastasized lymphoma and just had my third chemo yesterday and so far the doc has high hopes although my white blood cell content was low - the drugs sure seem to be whole lot better than they did even 15 years ago when my wife went through it with far less side effects.
Prayers up for you and yours..

That's tough, A.C., but there's always hope as long as you hang in there and fight. I can sympathize, my Sister-in-law was just diagnosed with cancer in the pancreas, liver and thyroid. She's in chemo, now. My wife has MS and her last MRI shows anew lesion on the brain. I'm taking her to Des Moines, next Thursday, for some tests to start a new medicine. Both girls are tough and have a good outlook. The wife told her sister to think of Pac-Man during chemo and visualize the chemo gobbling up all the cancer. Sounds crazy, but the mind is stronger than anything in the body so, you just picture yourself getting better and hold onto that with both hands. Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together!" (Red Green)
All growed up and still playin' Cowboy!
