As a kid I was very fond of High Chaparral, and Alias Smith and Jones.   The later was way more light hearted.  My dad looked like a cross between Cameron Mitchell and William Shatner, so it was always a little surreal watching it and Star Trek.

I watched all the CBS westerns, later the ABC westerns. We only had 2 Channels in 53, when we got our first TV. We didn't get a Color set till 65. I can remember Bonanza and Tales of Wells Fargo being the only two shows being broadcast in Color in the late 50s. The Cisco Kid was in Color, but it was during the early 50s before everyone had a Color set.

Mogorilla, you must've gone crosseyed if you ever watched "The Andersonville Trial" (1970), directed by George C. Scott. It starred Cameron Mitchell as the head of the court-martial and William Shatner as the officer defending Wirtz.
As a matter of fact, everyone should check out the cast of this movie. It was full of great western and b-movie character actors - Albert Salmi, Charles McGraw and a host of others, including a very young Martin Sheen!

I will have to check that out.  We lost Dad about 12 years ago, but I found it funny, when the show was on, my sister couldn't even watch Bleep my Dad Says.  As Shatner has aged, he really resembles Dad, in that show, they even had the same personality   :D

Branded.  If for no reason other than the theme song.  And of course my dad's favorite--Bonanza.  My dad looked a lot like Dan Blocker--maybe a tad thinner, but BIG!

I watched a ton of Bonanza as a kid and I visited that set at Lake Tahoe, lots of fun.

I think mine was Cheyenne Bodie? Clint Walker, one of my early Western heroes. Also a big fan of Wagon Train. For some reason not fussed about High Chaparral or Bonanza, although I did like Bonanza's opening credits and theme tune.
My main interest was the frontier army so I watched F troop,
I can't remember much else series wise...
