OK, now..STOP IT!
You Texicans are just having way to much fun!
Us Iowawegians, Honorary Wisconsinites and Minnesnowtons are drooling over our coffee cups whilst devouring cinnamminamon rolls with a bucket of hot sugar sauce flowing down into the keyboard before we tuck into a bowl of 'Mater soup and some grilled cheese sammies!
Wishing you all a great NCOWS event and superb Fall weather!
Best regards and good shooting!

Our normal 1st frost is the end of November.  We usually get a icy sleety storm around Thanksgiving.  Today is a cloudy 57 degrees with a 35mph wind.

Weather forecast is looking good. Highs in 70s and lows in 50s.

There is a chance of rain on Friday.  Since it hasn't rained here in 3 years, I wouldn't expect that to actually happen.

The Gambler Side Match will have 2 categories; Yancey Derringer and Tin Horn.Yancey Derringer shooters use the supplied derringer and pocket pistol. Supplied ammo is loaded with black powder and both derringer and pocket pistol must be fired one handed duelist style. Tin Horn shooters must supply their own NCOWS approved derringer, pocket pistol and ammo. Tin Horn shooters can use any powder and any hand hold.
First timed shoot is for the record.

If one of you rich Texas Oil tycoons would sent up your jet here to Wisconsin I could at least come and watch. ;)

I really envy you guys.  Take it from me never take your health for granted because it really sucks when it fails.

I wish one of our members was a rich oil man who could send his jet up to get you. We all wish you could come down.  Hopefully we will see you at convention again this year.

Returned last night from said shoot. Had a great time. Was one of the most challenging shoots I've been to in a while. I love a good challenge! Will definitely return. Thanks to all who made it a great time.

Thanks to all!
Just finished cleaning guns and putting away gear.

I had a fantastic time, and I'll second Trap's statement about a challenge. From what I heard, and to give an idea of how challenging, no clean match garnered by any of the 60 shooters.

All the Nebraskans have tentatively penciled it in for next year and we're going to see how many we can entice into making the trip with us next year. Hopefully more time can be set aside to visit museums and do a little shopping. And eating at some of the other restaurants in the area.

Everyone at the Berger Sharpshooters went out of their way to make this a great match, and their hospitality was very appreciated.

i agree with RCJ, it was a great match and still has me trying to figure out what to shoot at and with! Everyone I met, new and previous friends were the best people you could hope for. It's always that way, but I just can't say it enough. Great folks, wonderful hosts and more fun than I deserve. And yes, Posse 2 did indeed rock. I have an award to prove it!
