Blue and cased .45 pair with checkered one piece ivory
« on: July 27, 2014, 03:21:23 AM »

Blue and case by Turnbull.   The thin profiled elephant ivory grips are stunning in person and more importantly in the hand shooting, are by Gene @ Gunner Products, Kathleen, FL.  I am exceptionally pleased with the end result all around.   Guns are recent production 3rds and shoot as good as they look after just a tiny bit of TLC to the triggers and forcing cones.

Thank you Sir!  And indeed, I am a fortunate fellow.  I had sent along a pair of USFA grips and asked that the checkering match for lpi and the thin grip profile be some what similar.  Always a risk of having a grip profile you might not like if you haven't used a custom grip maker prior.  My only experience prior with Gunner Products was a pair of checkered 1911 grips.  Which are out standing as well.   This pair of SAAs has exceeded my expectations in every way.   And the price was less than expected with only a 4 week wait.  Hard combo not to like.
