What's in a name???
« on: June 07, 2014, 11:35:27 PM »
Easy: picking the guns, deciding on a rig, picking the costume, the hat, boots, making the ammo. Hard: picking a name. I think all of the good one are already taken.  ;D So I'm stuck. Anyone got any good tips to come up with a name?

here is a direction you could try

you are using MustangGT now,  assuming you have one and are a fan for the marque

Stang
Boss Pony
4 Speed  (5 Speed)
Windsor Kid
McQueen
Fairlane Kid
Vee Ate   (V8)
Old Hoss
Shelby

You get the drift  :)

Yes sir I thought about the car angle also. I'll give that some thought. I have two Sharps rifles so I love the history of those rifles and the times. I have the Buffalo Hunters and Skinners Encyclopedia that I've been looking through but haven't come up with a name I like just yet. I've looked at a Montana Gazetteer looking for a place somewhere in the state. Thanks for the ideas. I'll keep on thinking.

mustanggt,

What is wrong with using your given name?

Here is one path you might look at:

Our example is Frank Collins and he is from Oregon.

Two interesting place names in Oregon are:  Poop Creek and Dead Horse Creek.

Now our example might choose one of the following

1. Poop Creek Frank
2. Poop Creek Collins
3. Dead Horse Frank
4. Dead Horse Collins
5. Horse Creek Frank
6. Horse Creek Collins.
