I posted in Gunsmithing about stripping the finish off of the grips from an 1872 Open Top. In case I ruin it or don't like how things turn out I would like to replace them. That is a pretty tough job thus far. I've even searched 1860 Army grips and found very scarce. Anyone know of a retailer for replacement grips? Thank you

I think it's be pretty hard to ruin them. But if you want to start over, Cimarron and Taylors sell replacement finished grips, and vtigunparts.com sells both finished and unfinished replacements.
