Got a shot at an Uberti 1849, what do you think I should be paying for it?

Since you can get a NIB one shipped right to you for around $300, base your difference on that. Good luck

They really have no use for CAS shooting.  Many are disfunctional right out of the box.  Figure how much it is worth to you as a toy.  I've seen several used ones for between $150.00 and $200.00 and they move slow.  They have poor resale value because there just isn't much demand for them.

Yeah, this one is 150.00 with bullets, measure, caps and powder.  Still don't think I will do it because it would be a closet dweller.

I've used mine as a main match pistol in NCOWS match's. The boom is louder than the .31 round ball hitting the target. Counters can't see the hit, hear the hit and there's damn sure no target shake. Good thing I don't shoot for money, just for fun. Also shoot 32 S&W top breaks for the same reason.

I kinda wanted one converted to a .32 cartridge gun. Just for shooting the occasional rat or pigeon.
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.

Hang on now $150 is a great deal if its in nice condition. While it mas not be a good cas pistol theres plenty of other uses for it. I believe colt made around 350 thousand of them  in the era we all love, and none of them were used for cas. The saa didnt reach that number till well after the turn of the century, heck I think the 30's maybe? That gun saw plenty of honest use. So if your a fan of guns of the frontier era or aspire to recreate that time today, that gun was one of, if not the, most produced handgun of the 19th century. Good luck

Agreed, but he never got back to me.  For 150.00 it was a terrific deal and worth every penny.

I got one and had it converted to .22 and it is a fun gun to use, use it in SASS side matches.  Never win, but it is an attention getter.
